Services to Business
Media and Communication is a key development area for Birmingham City University, not just because of the School's commitment to education and enterprise but also because of its innovative industry support initiatives.
Many of these industry support initiatives are based in Screen Media Lab, a purpose-built facility close to the Custard Factory in Digbeth. Screen Media Lab is a centre for enterprise and innovation in screen media and visual design and is fully equipped with specialist screen, sound and post-production equipment.
Screen Media Lab is the centre for funded projects for the School. Since 2002 the teams there have worked with over 300 West Midlands businesses on a portfolio worth £5m.
