Bursaries and Scholarships
The majority of students who come to study in the UK pay for their courses privately, but study can be costly and many students need to apply for scholarships or grants. The British government and other UK organisations provide a number of scholarships and awards to help international students to study in the UK.
Your First step is to contact the Ministry of Education in your own country who will have details of Government scholarships for overseas students.
Your Second step is to contact the British council in your home country for information about your eligibility for relevant British Sponsorship Schemes. If there is no British Council in your country, contact your nearest British Embassy or High Commission or visit the British Council website http://www.britishcouncil.org/
